About Brooks Collins Chocolates – A South Jersey Chocolatier
Brooks Collins Chocolates was born in 2020 during one of the most challenging and uncertain periods for small businesses.
Mike Collins, a 25-year veteran of the chocolate business and a locally recognized chocolatier, had spent decades developing his knowledge and experience in the chocolate industry. When circumstances created an opportunity for something new, Mike Collins and Mike Tarzy began discussing the possibility of opening their own chocolate business..
What started as an idea quickly became a plan.
With Mike Collins' extensive chocolate-making experience and knowledge of the industry, combined with Mike Tarzy's business experience, the two began putting together everything needed to open a local chocolate shop.
25+ Years of Chocolate-Making Experience
Mike Collins brought more than 25 years of experience in the chocolate business to Brooks Collins Chocolates.
His knowledge of chocolate making, products and the industry became the foundation for the new company. The goal was simple: create a locally owned chocolate shop where customers could find quality handcrafted chocolates and confections backed by decades of experience.
From an Idea to a Chocolate Shop
Once the decision was made to move forward, things happened quickly.
Equipment had to be located and purchased, a location had to be prepared, products had to be developed, and all of the pieces necessary to open a new business had to come together.
In approximately 60 days, the idea of Brooks Collins Chocolates went from a conversation to a functioning chocolate shop.
Brooks Collins Chocolates Opens in Tabernacle
On October 14, 2020, Brooks Collins Chocolates officially opened its doors in Tabernacle, New Jersey.
Today, Brooks Collins Chocolates continues to produce handcrafted chocolates and confections while serving customers throughout Tabernacle, Medford, Marlton, Mount Laurel, Southampton, Shamong, Lumberton, Burlington County and South Jersey.
From chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered strawberries to seasonal candy, chocolate gifts and other handcrafted confections, our goal is to provide our customers with delicious chocolates made with experience and care.
We appreciate every customer who has supported Brooks Collins Chocolates since we opened our doors and look forward to continuing to serve the South Jersey community for years to come.
